For Patrons
Key aspects of a patron of the arts include:
Historical Context: Traditionally, wealthy individuals (kings, nobles) or institutions (the Church) funded artists during periods like the Renaissance to create significant works and enhance prestige.
Forms of Support: Patrons provide financial security, such as paying for, purchasing, or commissioning artwork, as well as offering non-monetary support like mentoring or promotional efforts
Modern Patronage: Today, patronage often involves buying directly from artists, attending gallery openings, funding exhibitions, or supporting artists through online platforms.
Purpose: The primary goal is to foster cultural development, ensure the creation of art, and support the livelihood of creatives
